Three days in the mountains walking the paths your ancestors walked. We visit sacred sites, make offerings at waterfalls, and conduct a full ukubhula ceremony under the open sky. This is for those who feel disconnected from their lineage and need to hear the ancestors clearly again.
A weekend of deep cleansing. Herbal steam baths (ukufutha), river washing ceremonies, and guided water rituals at natural hot springs. For those carrying heavy energy — grief, trauma, depression, or spiritual fatigue — that needs to be washed away. Includes three herbal bath preparations and a take-home cleansing kit.
Five days of intensive preparation for those who have received the calling (ubizo) but have not yet answered. We live on a working homestead under a senior gobela, learning the foundations of throwing bones, dream interpretation, herbal identification, and ritual protocol. This is not initiation — it is discernment. You leave knowing whether the path is yours to walk.
Two full days dedicated to the language of the ancestors. You learn to prepare for dreams, receive them, record them, and interpret them. Each participant receives personal bone-throwing sessions, plus group teaching on the meanings of the bones — animal, object, and ancestor placement. You leave with your own set of practice bones and a dream journal.
Four days in an indigenous forest learning the plants your ancestors knew. We walk with a traditional herbalist identifying medicinal plants, harvesting sustainably, and preparing muthi by hand. You learn to make your own imphepho bundles, cleansing washes, protection amulets, and herbal infusions. This is for those who want to heal themselves and others.
India and Africa share deep spiritual roots — ancestor veneration, ritual offering, sacred water, possession traditions, and the belief that the living and the dead are in constant dialogue. In Varanasi, the oldest continuously inhabited city on earth, we walk the ghats of the Ganges where cremation fires have burned for 3,000 years. We make offerings to the river — just as we make offerings to our rivers at home. This is not tourism. This is pilgrimage.
